SkyEurope open direct flight between Torino and Krakow.
SkyEurope Airlines, monday open its new service between Torino, the major industrial city in Northern Italy, and Krakow , the royal city of Poland with its Old Town Historical District, a UNESCO world heritage site. SkyEurope is the first airline to operate this unique route. - By opening this new route SkyEurope is creating the first ever scheduled service between both cities, said CEO Christian Mandl.

Since accession to EU, a direct connection from the metropolis of Southern Poland to the Northern Italy were sought by both business people and the tourism industry. Krakow has evolved over the last years as touristy hot spot in Central Europe, as it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Poland. Strong business links between Italy and Southern Poland will now have the chance to further flourish thanks to this new connection.

SkyEurope will initially start with three flights a week. Operating regular flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the flight time table is ideally suited for business people and city breakers alike.

Flight NE 467 leaves Torino in the late evenings at 21.10 to reach the capital of Malopolska region at 23.10.

As a special product enhancement, SkyEurope offers to its passenger a SkyShuttle bus service, connecting Krakow Balice airport in direct with key cities in the region, such as Katowice and Gliwice. The SkyShuttle bus connection can be booked on-line in one step together with the flight booking.

In line with the massive expansion programme of its base in Krakow with 51 weekly flights to 14 European destinations in summer 2006, SkyEurope will place this year four (out of its 16 aircraft fleet) brand new Boeing 737-700 Next- Generation aircraft at Balice airport. The new service between Torino and Krakow will be operated in future with this new airplane offering high comfort and 149 elegantly designed leather seats.

- By opening this new route SkyEurope is creating the first ever scheduled service between both cities. The new connection between Torino and Krakow is the next step in building a strong network between Italy and Poland. SkyEurope will this year operate from 6 cities in Italy to Central and Eastern Europe”, said Christian Mandl, CEO of SkyEurope Airlines.

SkyEurope has introduced recently the most transparent fare policy, abolishing the fuel surcharge and freeing customers from other additional charges, such as reservation fees, security charges or booking fees, usually charged by other airlines. Besides the base flight fare, passengers on SkyEurope do only pay the net airport tax.
